SFUPS uses a “Canon” “SX80 Mark II/SX800” digital Multimedia projector for its meetings. It has Native SXGA+ Resolution of (1400 by 1050 dots) which ensures projection of a high-quality image in a wider projection area with a high degree of resolution. It is equipped with a HDMI Input Terminal. Connecting the projector to AV or Computer equipment via HDMI terminal allows you to project high quality digital images and video.
We can accommodate your computer whether it has an HDMI, DVI-1, Component, RGB, Analog, or S-Video terminals. Our presentations are done using a “PC” computer, however, we can and do accommodate presenters who use a Mac or Apple type of computer, and have most of the adaptor cables needed to connect your Mac or Apple to our projector.
If you are using a Macintosh OSX computer, you will need to open the Apple menu and select “System Environment Settings”. Then click the “Display” icon to display the Display window. Select the Display tab and select “1400 x 1050” or a resolution closest to this output signal from your resolution list. Close the System Environment Setting window.
Our Sound system is an “Expedition XP308i” portable PA system from Samson. It features a compact 8-channel mixer with 300 watts of onboard power and dual 2-way speakers. The XP308i employs a matched speaker system with dual 2-way enclosures that have proprietary 8-inch woofers and 1-inch titanium tweeters. If you are using the HDMI cable, the sound is taken to the projector first and then using a separate 3.5mm audio cable from the projector to the sound system. If you are using any other terminal type other than the HDMI, we will have to use a separate 3.5mm audio cable from your computer to the sound system. The sound from our system is awesome.
Normally we are placed in the main ball room at the hotel which offers a 96” wide movie projection screen which allows everyone to see even from the rear of the room. We have all of the Audio and Video equipment and cables that you should need in order to give a fantastic presentation. All you need is to bring yourself and your presentation. Many presenters just bring their program on a thumb drive and I load it onto my laptop and show the program from my computer. This way we don’t have to worry about setting up your computer. You may also if you like, email me your program ahead of time and I can get it set up so that I can test everything and have it all ready for the meeting. If you want to do this, you can upload it to my “You Send It/Hightail” account at https://dropbox.yousendit.com/MearsPhoto . If you have agreed to allow us to videotape your presentation, this works out really well for me since I can use your original material in the video instead of videotaping the screen with the projected images on it.
