Home
Pregnant papa – hippocampus bargibanti.  They’re very tiny, usually less than ¾ of an inch.  They camouflage with the seafan they live on in an attempt to conceal themselves from natural predators (and photographers).
These poor mandarin fish can’t get any privacy and no wonder, they put on quite a show !  The challenge with photographing them is not spooking them, getting them in focus facing you while releasing eggs.  It takes patience, a lot of shots and great timing !
Anenome fish with Isopod tongue ring, oh, no, the isopod is it’s tongue. Ewwww !
