LEE BURGHARD: Underwater Video: Understanding Exposure & Color
Great footage is rarely an accident. This presentation will break down the technical and creative relationship between light and color, providing a strategy for capturing professional-grade underwater footage. We’ll move beyond “automated” settings to explore how controlling your camera’s exposure and color can transform the quality of your shots.
Throughout the discussion we will focus on strategies for properly dealing with exposure for underwater video, understanding the creative effects of motion blur and depth of field, along with emphasis on how to properly nail color in camera through the use of a manual white balance.
