Atlantic Goliath Grouper season is here! Every year between August and October we in South Florida are fortunate to witness Goliath Groupers aggregate in preparation for spawning. SFUPS, with cameras in hand, will be diving local known hangouts to swim with these mammoth-sized fish.
DEDICATED GOLIATH GROUPER PHOTO DIVES
SFUPS, along with our sponsor CAPT SL8R DIVE CHARTERS are hosting some fantastic dive opportunities. These dives are dedicated to photographing Goliath Groupers in the very best situations. We are limiting the number of people on the boat and are doing two and three grouper dives, unlike most other dive operators that offer one grouper dive and then a reef dive. We are also starting at an odd time so we will not be in the middle of other dive boats trying to dive. This gives us maximum flexibility and time with the Groupers.

We are limiting each dive date to only 10 divers. We will have a Goliath Grouper tutorial from Walt Stearns who will join us on many of the dives. Dive as many trips as you like and bring your friends along also. They don’t have to be members. Most dives are three thank dives with the exception of August 27th and September 20th.
August 27th — will be a two tank dedicated Grouper dive.
September 20th — will be three tanks but leaving a little later. You will be doing two dives and then taking a break to grill up some food around 5pm. Afterwards there will be a third tank at twilight to possibly catch the groupers spawning. This dive is open to 20 people and they will be staggered in groups entering the water.
