BLACK WATER DIVING IN THE PACIFIC
With Linda Ianniello
A lot of you are familiar with black water diving locally and the subjects that can be found here. This presentation will focus on my experiences black water diving in four locations in the Pacific:
1. Anilao, Philippines – Crystal Blue Resort
2. Romblon, Philippines – The Three P Resort
3. Lembeh, Indonesia – NAD Lembeh
4. Ambon, Indonesia – Maluku Divers Resort (now Spice Island Divers)
I will talk about each of the resorts, the pros and cons of each location, and the subjects found there. These locations provided some great black water diving and quite a few of the “bucket list” subjects.

Linda Ianniello has been diving and doing underwater photography for over 30 years. For the past five years she has been focusing on black water dives, up to three times a week in southeast Florida.
She has also traveled to Indonesia and the Philippines for these dives, focusing on finding and photographing the animals that migrate vertically from the deep every night to feed. She likes to identify and learn more about these creatures.
She is the co-author with Susan Mears of “BLACKWATER Creatures – A Guide to Southeast Florida Blackwater Creatures.”
