MOTIVATION PROGRESSION IN UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY

has changed over the past two decades and has paralleled his progression in diving.
Douglas will discuss how his interest in underwater photography has evolved over the years and how he has
used that changing motivation to learn new techniques and improve his underwater photography skills.
Douglas Ebersole, MD is an avid recreational, technical, rebreather, and cave diver and instructor. However, he also has a passion for underwater photography and has published numerous underwater photographs over the last 20 years.
Progressing from a point and shoot camera to document memories of a shallow reef for family and friends to lugging a DSLR with multiple strobes and video lights thousands of feet back into underwater caves to capture images few divers ever have the opportunity to experience, he will discuss how his interest in underwater photography has changed over the years and how he has used that changing motivation to learn new techniques and improve his underwater photography skills.
