ADAM BERRY

Adam grew up in a home with a dark room, so he was exposed at a young age. After graduating high school, he served in the Army as a Ranger, where he obtained a serious spinal injury as the result of a parachute accident. During his rehabilitation, he spent countless hours in the pool for exercise. With the realization of how instrumental water therapy had become, he spends as much time as he can submerged.

Scuba diving allowed access to the beauty that lies beneath the surface. It only made sense to combine his passion for water and photography together. He started in the Pacific Northwest before moving to the warm waters around Florida. Adam has spent most of his time with manatees, studying their behavior and learning how they interact. Combining underwater scenes with creative lighting is his ultimate passion. Caves have provided the perfect place for Adam to explore lighting concepts and his imagination. He appreciates how all underwater photos document what may not be there for future generations to see.
