HANAN ATIA

Hanan was born in Israel and moved to the US when he was two years old. He learned to SCUBA dive when he was 12 and always had a passion for the ocean. Hanan and his wife Annie live in Fort Lauderdale and enjoy SCUBA diving together. Hanan is an ER doctor by profession and has been taking photos underwater for the past 4 years. He enjoys all types of underwater photography including wide angle, macro, and blackwater. Hanan shoots with a Nikon D850 with either a 60mm macro lens or a 16-35mm wide angle lens with dual Sea&Sea strobes. Recently, he has been enjoying the challenges of photographing with an optical snoot, to make his macro images “pop.”
Hanan volunteers his time and provides medical oversight for several ocean conservation organizations. All of his photography is for sale with proceeds donated!
