Since I was very young, diving for me has been an obsession. I was born in Guines, Havana, Cuba, where being a diver was not an easy dream, but with persistence and a very hard head I did it. I became a dive instructor at age 25 and always wanted to take pictures underwater. In 1999 I came to America to make my dream come true. There’s nothing to compare with what I feel being underwater, holding my rig and waiting for the right moment to press the shutter release. My favorite dive is somewhere in the Bahamas aboard the Shear Water, photographing great hammerheads and tigers. My most frequented dive site is under the Blue Heron Bridge in West Palm Beach, FL.
I have been working on underwater photo and video camera housings for almost 20 years. A couple of years ago I started my own business repairing and overhauling camera housings and related equipment. I use my experience and expertise in making adjustments, repairs, overhauls, and solutions to issues with underwater photo equipment.
