TOM HAYWARD

I lived in Rhode Island most of my life. My grandparents owned a Marina where my mother worked. Needless to say my passion for the ocean was nurtured from an early age. My first SCUBA experience was in my thirties in the Bahamas. I was certified around 1990 and dove the northeast for a few years. The bad visibility and cold water eventually quelled my interest.

In 2007 I retired from Verizon and my wife and I moved to Florida. With the beautiful clear water and endless dive opportunities the sirens of the ocean once again called.

We now live in Stuart so we dive Jupiter and West Palm mostly. Blue Heron Bridge is only a 45 minute drive away. The next natural step was photography. I shoot a Nikon D7100 with an Ikelite Housing with a pair of Inon Z240 Strobes. I love both the Macro and Wide Angle world. I am very proud and humbled to be part of SFUPS. The talent is endless and the people are top notch. I look forward to every meeting and only hope to elevate my underwater skills.
