One of the hottest underwater photography techniques leaving many to ask, “where do all those colors come from?” is the art of fluorescent photography. Fluorescent photoproteins in the tissue of marine creatures when hit with Ultra-violet and other wavelengths of light begin to emit exaggerated colors of light creating amazing opportunities for images. SFUPS is proud to have one of the foremost scientific experts in the research of fluorescence as a member that happens to also be a great underwater photographer.
