Dr. Alex Mustard, 50, from the UK, has been widely regarded as one of the world’s leading underwater photographers for the last 25 years. He has been taking photographs underwater since he was 9 years old and has worked as a full-time underwater photographer since 2004. In 2018 he received national recognition being made an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for ‘services to underwater photography’. He has a PhD in marine ecology, which constantly informs his photography. He dives, teaches workshops and photographs all around the world. In this presentation, he will share his lifetime of experience creating compelling wide-angle images. He will cover techniques, composition, equipment, and creative ideas.
