is a co-author of a new scientific paper titled “Associations between fishes (Actinopterygii: Teleostei) and anthozoans (Anthozoa: Hexacorallia) in epipelagic waters based on in situ records.” Both Rich and Linda Ianniello contributed images (taken during local black water dives) to the paper which can be found here.

is a co-author of a recent scientific paper titled “Putative Batesian mimicry of gelatinous zooplankton by larvae of marine fishes: a closer look based on in-situ images by blackwater photographers.”  The following members submitted images that were used in the paper: Richard Collins, Deb Devers, Linda Ianniello, Steven Kovacs, Susan Mears, Walt Stearns and Andrea Whitaker.
